1. About IndieNew
   IndieNew (https://www.indienew.com) is an independently operated directory for discovering tools, products, and resources for makers. In these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the individual operator of IndieNew. You can contact us at support@indienew.com.

2. Using the service
   These Terms govern your access to IndieNew, account use, product submissions, paid listings, and sponsored placements. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it. You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement; if you act for a business, you must have authority to bind it. The service is not directed to children under 16.

3. Accounts
   Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. Third-party sign-in services are also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Submissions and your content
   You must own or have permission to submit the names, descriptions, logos, images, links, and other materials you provide. Submissions must be accurate, lawful, and relevant to the directory. Do not impersonate others or submit deceptive, infringing, malicious, or unlawful material.
   You retain ownership of your content. You grant IndieNew a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the directory and promote your listing. This permission does not transfer ownership of your product or trademarks. Contact us to request correction or removal; copies may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is legally required.
   We may review, edit formatting, categorize, reject, or remove submissions that violate these Terms, infringe rights, or threaten users or the service. A paid listing does not exempt a submission from these rules.

5. Paid listings and sponsorships
   Available features, prices, currency, placement periods, and payment terms are displayed on the relevant plan or checkout page. Review them before paying. A recurring charge applies only if expressly disclosed and agreed at checkout. Payments may be handled by a third-party payment provider, including Waffo/Pancake, under the terms shown during checkout.
   Featured or sponsored placement purchases visibility as described in the offer; it does not guarantee traffic, search rankings, sales, or other commercial results. A “permanent” listing has no scheduled expiry during normal operation of the directory, subject to these Terms and any removal required by law or a material violation.
   For billing mistakes, duplicate charges, cancellation requests, or a paid service that was not delivered as described, email support@indienew.com with your order reference. Applicable checkout refund terms and mandatory consumer rights govern. Nothing in these Terms excludes refund or cancellation rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Changes to future pricing do not change an already confirmed purchase without your agreement.

6. Acceptable use
   Do not use IndieNew to violate the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, distribute malware or spam, harass others, manipulate engagement, bypass access controls, or interfere with service availability. Do not collect personal information from the service for unsolicited marketing. Automated access must respect technical restrictions and must not disrupt the service.

7. Directory information and third-party services
   Listings may be supplied by makers or compiled from publicly available sources. We aim to keep information useful but cannot guarantee that every listing, price, or claim is current or accurate. Inclusion, featured placement, or sponsorship is not an endorsement or a guarantee of a third-party product.
   External websites and products are operated by their respective providers. Your dealings with them are between you and those providers, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. Evaluate a product before purchasing or providing personal information.

8. Our intellectual property
   Except for user submissions and third-party materials, the IndieNew name, design, and original site content belong to their respective rights holders. These Terms allow ordinary use of the service but do not transfer intellectual property rights or authorize misleading use of our brand.

9. Privacy
   Our Privacy Policy at https://www.indienew.com/privacy explains how we handle personal information. Please read it before submitting information, including information that will appear in a public listing.

10. Availability and liability
    We may maintain, update, or discontinue features and will take reasonable steps to communicate material changes affecting purchased services. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without a guarantee of uninterrupted access or fitness for a particular purpose.
    To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the directory or third-party products. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be limited.

11. Suspension and ending use
    You may stop using IndieNew at any time and request account deletion by email. We may restrict access or remove content where reasonably necessary to address material violations, security risks, or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us about a mistake. Ending access does not remove accrued payment obligations or mandatory consumer rights.

12. Disputes and changes
    Please contact us first at support@indienew.com so we can try to resolve a concern. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory protections or access to courts available under applicable law.
    We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate or legally required. Changes apply prospectively, subject to applicable law.
